Our pride: Lauren Sides My daughter, Lauren, had been doing martial arts since she was four years old.  At 12, she  decided she wanted to attend the United States Air Force Academy upon graduating from high  school, but was disappointed that they did not have a karate team.  She had wanted to fence  from the moment she first saw the “Princess Bride” and discovered that USAFA had a fencing  team, and a dream was born.
